Around the city

I found this one door here. It's actually a closet but so short I just had to get a picture of it and me standing in front of it. I remember in Japan the doors there are also so short. This door was at the subway station Moran in Bundang.

Around the temple I saw this old guy here. I don't know exactly what he was doing. I think maybe he is a fortune teller or something like that. I didn't wait around to find out because we were on the way to Insadong. Right after I saw this guy I bought some street food. It was some kind of fish balls with some other kind of stuff on it. I think it is also fish. I know my Mom would like it anyways! I'll try to find out the name of it!

This is a picture I saw in the subway of Jeon Ji Hyun. She is very famous in Korea. She's an actress and maybe one of the top actresses here now. She is very traditional Korean looking and I think she is only 26 or so but she has made a lot of movies. Her most famous one is 'Sassy Girl' which was made about 6 years ago.

These are some aloe plants we spotted on the street in Jongro. Aloe is used in a lot of foods and drinks. There is a drink made of it and it tastes pretty good too. In case you don't know, Aloe is very good for your skin so the women here love to use it!

These are lanterns at the temple we went to on Friday, on Buddha's birthday. There were thousands of them there and people would pay a lot of money to put them up there. I think some people even paid about 100,000won(about 100USD) to have them put up there with their names on them. They were very colorful too. Try clicking on this pic for a larger view of them.
