Last Saturday, Paul and I watched the second last game of the tournament that we'll be watching. We've watched as many as we could and have paid the price too! I'm still on European time. We'll go watch the final too ofcourse. Paul bleached his hair the other day and it came out a little orangish! Doesn't he look a little upset here?
Before the game on Saturday, we stopped at a place in Itaewon called Rocky Mountain Tavern. It was packed there and there were lots of canucks celebrating Canada day there. I met up with Mike, a guy from Edinburgh, Scotland.
There were a lot of people dressed in red and luckily too I wore a red Tshirt, even though it was an England shirt. I felt a little guilty not wearing a Canadian shirt but to tell you the truth I don't have one. They should make it to the next W.Cup i guess!
When we got the the place where we watched the game, we saw a lot of brits. I asked one guy if he could move because I couldn't see the screen. I heard him say to his buddy, "Is he even English"? So I went over to him and told him politely that my best friend is and that I would love to see England win. I also told him it would be a better game if it was the Dutch playing instead of the Portuguese. He agreed. Well, we know what finally happened, and it was too bad. So now on to the rest of the games. Italy versus France? We'll see...2010 is just a few years away too.
