Even though I don't have a job at the moment, it's nice to just hang around Seoul and see some new places that I might not see if I was in a full time contract. There are actually hundreds of jobs that are available every day. There aren't as many places available to rent or buy though so that's what I'll be spending most of my time doing this week. There are lots of realtors to help and I have a few friends that are looking too. I kinda miss the cleanliness of Bundang but Seoul is older and has a lot of character. But it's just like anywhere else in Korea. Kind people, different restaurants and new subway stations to figure out. A korean friend of mine and I went to a great place to eat last night. We had a dish called 'O-bul-ri' which is a mix of Ojinga-bulgogi-and sidedishes(vegetables). It is a mix of Squid, Beef and vegetables like onions, garlic and kimchi. After you eat some of the beef and squid, which compliment each other quite nicely, you mix in some rice and some bean sprouts, more kimchi etc. It was very tasty and I will be going back to that place no matter where I end up living.
But for the time being, enjoying those types of meals will be few and far between as I'll be sticking on a tight budget. Most people that have jobs have to do that! If I don't find something soon, I might have to get a job driving one of these taxis!!
