Yesterday, I met a guy who has been here in Korea for longer than me, and what a coincidence..he comes from a place right near where I was born! We had a good chat and he said something so real: "I just want to go through a day where I'm not bumped into, rubbed in the head by a newspaper on the subway, or spat on my shoe." But he said it in such a way where he's deals with it but there are some days which can be a bit unnerving. Anyways, I'll see him next week and see how his week made out.
When I first arrived in Korea just over 7 years ago, I noticed a lot of signs which resembled a swastika. Actually, it's a reverse sign of it and it's the symbol of Buddha. It originated from the solar calender from the Chinese. Hitler took it, reversed it and made it the symbol of the Nazi party. If you don't know who Hitler was, google it. You can see a lot of these places with the Buddha sign and they have some very traditional sidedishes and the owners want people to know that Buddhists own the restaurant and which temple they belong to.

And Last night, I noticed something on the street that looked like a strange coin. I bent down to pick it up and saw a picture of the queen on it, so I picked it up and saw it was a pound coin! How strange is that, finding a pound on the ground in Bundang?
