An Myun Do

On Sunday Morning, I met HaeJin and after a black coffee and a sandwich, headed down to AnMyunDo which is one of many little islands on the west coast of South Korea. I was a little bit tired because I met Paul at his place and then Ben and Rob came a little later. We haven't seen Ben for 6 years and the last time we saw him was in Itaewon so it seemed fitting to go there again. That time it was Rob, Chigo, Ben and myself. Paul was already back in Canada then.

Anyways, to get to this island you have to go towards Incheon and then take some country roads and then some even smaller country roads. Once you get out of the city areas in Korea it gets pretty country meaning that if take a wrong turn somewhere you'll be in a rice patty.

It was a beautiful day and even though it was really hot, the water was right in front of us and getting closer all the time. When we first got there, we sat about 50meters from shore but about an hour later had to move our things further back because of the tide.

We did a lot of swimming and since I haven't been in the sun for that long of a time at once, I got pretty red and lobster like. The only thing I don't like about the ocean water at first is the saltiness taste you get in your mouth. It's strange but after swimming I have a craving for some potato chips.

On the way back to Seoul, traffic was lined up and pretty heavy. This is a picture of the Eco bridge and I'm not sure but I think it was once a landfill area. Nothing special but at this point of the drive I was bored and very irritable. The guy in front of me just cut me off for no reason too, so I thought I'd pretend to take a picture of his car for evidence. Strange things you think of or do when you're road raging eh? It's not like that was the first time or it'll be the last time that happens!
