I've been reading a lot lately, on the subway, on the bus, and at home, late at night. The book that I'm reading now is Grisham's latest and his first non-fiction novel. It's called 'The Innocent Man' and he can really paint a picture when he's writing, so well in fact that I've had some crazy dreams the last couple of nights. Since the story is about a couple of murders and very vivid descriptions of them it's no wonder. I'm not exactly sure what my dream was about, like almost any dream I have, but I remember I was acting just like a character in the book, on prozac, yelling obsenities in a jailcell! It was very strange and I guess vivid enough to remember that.
I don't think I should read that late at night but it's one of those books that are really hard to put down no matter how tired you are.
The last couple of days as well here in Korea have been a little strange. I've noticed this before but not as much as yesterday. I witnessed 5 people asking another Korean for directions to get somewhere. They really couldn't be bothered helping them out and you could see the looks on their faces that they were really bothered somebody asked them. I heard responses like 'I have no idea', and 'No'. I tried to help somebody last night because a kid didn't know where a hospital was (which was right around the corner). I told the person where to go and he was very thankful. Then I thought, I just told that guy to go the totally wrong way! I told him and said I might be wrong and it could be another hospital I directed him to. He said thanks anyways and was off. It looked like he was going to a funeral because he and everyone else in the car were dressed in black. (Korean funerals are usually in a hospital)
I hope they made it to where they were going in the end.
