Well, I've had a pretty good week, getting a bit busier but still have a lot of free time. Our football team won again on the weekend 7-0, a great result with Paul, Rob and I scoring in the same game, a first! Paul and I were substituting each other which worked out great. We tried to do 15 minute intervals so we could play equally. I played more than him but I think both of us know that neither are fit enough for a full game, YET! To be honest, I don't want to play hard like I used to, it's too easy to get injured if I do, and it's more fun to just stay fresh and come on as a sub with fresh legs.
Had a few run ins with some Korean people. Before I tell this story, I just want to let everyone know that these are common occurances and that they happen quite frequently. In this case though, it reminded me of my earlier days of living in Korea.
First of all, I think once a Korean sees a "non-pure blooded" Korean, they automatically think that the person can't speak any Korean and that their pronunciation, if they can speak any, is crap. So the first thing most cab drivers will say is "Aeey?" Hard to write exactly what that sounds like, but you get the point. Anyways, I asked this cab driver to take me to the KT building kind of like "bildeen" in Korean pronunciation. He verified this with my girlfriend and said " KT BeonSa"?
She said, "Yes, KT building".
"What I said exactly", I mumbled under my breath.
In the meantime, it hasn't stopped me from preparing for my test. I finished my last preparation test today and after a few more days of reviews, I'll be more than ready!
Below is an example of one of the questions in the Reading Comprehension section.
Oh, and by the way, it was 6 months ago, April 21st, that I quit smoking! Time flies!
