Raindrops Keep Pouring on my Head

Well, it's still raining here. Since Friday, we've gotten over 500 mm of rain!! And we're supposed to get another 60 mm more by Tuesday. In Anyang, southeast of Seoul a subway station was flooded but the station isn't connected to Line 9 yet. This weekend was also the long weekend but even though we had the day off we had to spend it travelling somewhere getting wet. But other than that, it has been cool which is a nice change to the humidity we've been having.

Other than that, I haven't been practicing too much Korean lately, well maybe a little, but I find people still say I can speak quite well. Chris, the Korean-American who is trying to get into the Korean movie business asked me to last night to translate what I just said in English. It was a few sentences and I just did it without even thinking or pausing! I actually surprised myself but I also know to reach that next level, I will have to study some more grammar. Any teachers available? By the way, I'm glad Seh Jung Dae Hwang (an old King) invented the language of Hangul. It's much easier than the old Korean language seen below.

I will have some vacation days coming up the first week of August and we are planning to go to Gangneung, which is on the east coast. We're getting a cottage style place right on the beach!

Hopefully we'll be able to see a nice sunrise like this too. It's been a while since I've seen a sunrise, besides all those cloudy ones after the 4 am football games! Well it's starting to rain here again. How many songs can you think of with "rain" in it? Red rain, Purple Rain..

Raindrops keep falling on my head.
I'm only happy when it rains.
Here comes the rain again.
Rain on me, won't yer.
I can't stand the rain on my window pane.

Some of the ones that I know. Eurythimics, The Who, Garbage and Tina Turner.
