In about a week and a half, my best friend Paul and I will be taking our first trip abroad together. We're going to Taiwan. We've known each other for 12 years. How time flies!
It figures that when we first met, we talked about football! We met when we were both working for the City of London, something I like to forget but Paul often reminds me. It was a deadend job and I shiver when I imagine if I was still working there. Sure, I'd be higher on the seniority list by now but things happen for a reason and I ended up in Korea 6 years ago! I guess you could say that I've never looked back or regretted the decision to leave that job! Back to the story. Paul was joining a team and they were looking for players so I decided to join the team too. The team consisted of mainly Brits, one of the guys from London and a guy from Manchester I think. His name was Ian and I think he played in Division one or two in England at one time.
Anyways, the team slowly fell apart because some of the players had other commitments but Paul and I continued to play and joined some other teams after that in the Industrial League in London. There was Leadbelly's, then Scot's Corner and then DA Contracting (not my company). A great bunch of guys and I really hope they're all doing well, whatever they are doing and wherever they may be.
Well, we are both still in Korea and have been through a lot since we first arrived here. We've rocked Korea, gotten rocked by Korea and have both had our ups and downs. I would have to admit that the last year has been the most exciting and rollercoasterish though!!! To say the least. More on that later, if you really want to know.
And tonight we are going to do what we do best, watch and analyze some good football!!
By the way, what some of you don't know....I was a Liverpool fan before we met!! Just not as mad as Paul. Have a good weekend everybody!
Any tips on good places to go in Taiwan, let me know.

Cool blog dude!
Nothing has ever been the same or will be since we made the monumental
decision to leave our boring life behind in London, Ontario.
Thank God we were smart enough to do that in the new millennium.
Paul.
