Laughter is the Best Medicine

These last few words that I heard in school today inspired me to write this today.
"Ok, get in the classroom right now before I tackle you"!
It's great because even though the kids can't understand, they can. I didn't say that by the way; that was Billy talking to some very low beginner kids!
Some of the kids I teach know that when I use a certain tone of voice, I mean business. I'll try to talk about some of the kids in the classes that seem to excel more than the others. Just a minute...I need some coffee to jolt some senses....

In one of the classes I have, there is a young guy named Jim. He is pretty clever and comes up with some funny stories and ideas. One day we were talking about the sun in Science class and he asked me this:

"Teacher, do you know what happens when astronauts go into space and they go too close to the sun"?

"No, what"?

"When they get too close, they start melting and then their bones are flying everywhere in space. So, they shouldn't get too close to the sun."

It was quite a funny moment and nobody expected it. The other students in the class are all girls and they usually have a good laugh with him and at him. He hates to write and would rather spend his time chewing on his hand or licking some part of his body. Sometimes that class can be the worst but also the greatest too.

These days though, I can sense the students lack of enthusiasm in class and know they would rather be doing something else, or maybe it's just me......

That was funny, seeing you jacked on coffee, writing a story in between classes...

by the way, a perfect description of Jim...
"He hates to write and would rather spend his time chewing on his hand or licking some part of his body."

when I look over and see Sally grossed out..and she says "David teacher..he's doing it again..!" I know exactly what she's talking about...and Jisu is saying.."like..he's always like eating something..like it's kinda like dirty.." and Julia is just laughing away..a typical class
