Edwin the Hero

It's Monday and it never fails. The mood always tends to be the same. Everybody's tired from the weekend and not really wanting to be at work. I don't mind it too much after I'm up, it's the getting up part that's a little hard sometimes. Today was a little bit too. I WAS just going to stay home last night but decided to meet Paul and Rob and watch the Community Shield game, Chelsea vs. Man Utd. It wasn't too bad and the hero ended up being Edwin Vandersar. I predicted that he would win it for them but I didn't think he'd save 3 penalties in a row! It shows you why he has been and still is the Dutch goalkeeper!

I had a couple of days off, Friday and Sunday, and did my usual classes on Saturday. I met up with Paul after I was finished on Saturday night and we went for some BBQ Galbi at some place outside near Gangnam Station. Some guys were really pushy, trying to get us to go to each of their restaurants. It was kind of annoying because they were right in our faces but in the end, without incident, we decided on one place. We met Chris and Matt, both from Manchester and had some drinks at a place nearby called Woodstock.
I was a little tired though because I ran 5 k in the morning before I went to work and the evening before I swam about 750m.
Hae Jin showed me this Sportscentre where you can go and play tennis, badminton, basketball, squash and more. It cost us 3000won each to go swimming. All you do is put your money in one of these machines(below) and get a ticket.

Swimming was a little tough, especially doing the 50m lengths. I'm looking forward to going again but realize that the race is going to be tough and just finishing will be a challenge!
