The game was on Saturday evening and I had a short doubt that I might not be able to go back on Friday afternoon. I had something at lunch and I thought I was poisoned at first! I found out later that it was an allergic reaction to something...still not sure exactly but it was something that I've had many times already...maybe just something that went bad in the food. It was surprising because that was the first time I had a reaction to a food. I can eat pretty much anything and I was pretty scared at first. My face turned a bright red and my heart was beating rapidly. That changed quickly after I went to the pharmacy and swallowed some pills. It was gone 5 minutes later.
Back to the game. A student of mine (nicknamed Gus) sitting next to me, got the tickets for this game. After Holland got the second goal, I jumped up to celebrate. It was shortlived though. Gus grabbed me and told me to sit down. We all had a good laugh at that. He's a football fan and like many Koreans, a Manchester United fan because of Ji Sung Park ofcourse.
After the game, we went to Dan Read's house for a small party. It was roasting hot and so smoky too. I didn't mind the smoke for a bit because it smelled nice at first but after about 10 minutes I needed to get out of there. It felt like a sauna in there and that is no exaggeration because I've been going to the sauna quite a bit lately.
So we got out of there quickly. Rob, Paul, Ritchie (above, left) and I went to Hongdae first. We went to a place called Tinpan 1 and Tinpan 2. They were both jammed pack and quite shite actually. We met Dan Read again and some of the other lads we used to play football with and then we headed down to Itaewon and it turned out to be another all nighter with taking the bus home again first thing in the morning. The good thing is that the air conditioning is on again in my building so it's very comfortable to sleep. Back to work again tomorrow, today was a day off so it's another 2 days and then the weekend again!
