This past weekend was a little bit of a getaway from the city. There were 11 of us altogether. Paul, Rob and I drove down to Ulsan on Friday evening. We dropped Rob off and he was on his way to meet a woman that he's wanted to see for a while. Unfortunately they never met each other. It was all for the best I think....maybe some warning signs he should have seen earlier. I don't care what anyone says...the warning signs are ALWAYS there! You just have to convince yourself whether or not you are in denial. Easier said than done ofcourse, especially if it's someone that you care about a lot.

Anyways, after that, Paul and I met Dan (above, right). We helped him load up some of the stuff for the weekend. We also went there with some Canadians, Pete, A.J. and Nick, all friends from back in Edmonton. The first night we stayed at a korean style cottage. We got there late so it was a late night ofcourse. The next morning it was roasting hot and I woke up to the sound of Paul and Dan snoring. But soon after, Dan (who did a great job of organizing the whole weekend) was cooking breakfast for everybody and we were getting ready for the move to our condo near the beach where we were going to meet the rest of the gang.

The beach was nice and the water was so refreshing. I went swimming a couple of times and there were some rocks about a km or less out to sea. A.J (top, with glasses) Nick and Pete and I wet for a swim out to the rocks. It wasn't an easy swim and everybody was feeling it in their lats and arms after a while. The rocks weren't too comfortable to walk on either, some kind of lava rock or something. I really enjoyed the swim though and decided to go again the next day. I was feeling it last night after the drive home! I thought later that swimming is great exercise and that's how I stayed so fit when I was younger. That was all I used to do! I used to swim like a fish. Even though I was sore last night and today still, I can hardly wait to go to the beach and swim in the ocean again!
