A New Week

Well, it's Monday and I've kinda started a new job today. I've already been working here for a couple of months but doing a couple of days a week. It's not too hard to describe what I do here. I read stories to and with the kids and then we discuss them. It's pretty laid back. I don't think the parents in this area of Seoul force their kids to come and study hard. I think it's more important for them to just get comfortable hanging out in an English environment. Most of the kids will spend a number of years studying abroad anyways, either in the U.S. or Canada.

Ever since I've came back to Korea, I've been reading quite a few books. The most recent one I read was called "The Third Twin". Before that was "The Face", "Bangkok Tattoo", and "State of Fear". Paul lent me a few more books the other day and I've started reading one of them by Michael Crichton called "Prey". I've also continued a book that Billy gave me before the trip to Canada. I spend about an hour a day on the subway so it makes the trips much faster and enjoyable.

Last Friday, I finished a part time job at a school Rosie and Ryan work at so I decided to have a few friends over and have a small dinner party. I've been cooking at home a lot more lately. Eating out is so cheap in Korea, but there's nothing like cooking at home! I forgot how much I enjoy it. So on Friday I cooked up some mushroom spaghetti and had Ryan, Me Hee, Rosie, Paul and Rob over for some drinks and dinner, cheese and crackers and kim. It was a nice time and I'm looking forward to doing it again soon! I'm sure that when Billy gets back from his trip I'll have a small party as well.

This weekend Paul, Rob and I will be heading down to Ulsan once again. We're going to stay in a condo Saturday and Sunday and hang out by the beach. This will be the first Saturday I'll have off in about 4 months so I'm looking forward to the weekend starting on Friday afternoon at 4!
